ASPHomeschoolers Robotics Challenge

We are a team of eleven Alice Springs students, aged 8-13 years,
heading to the 2017 National Robocup Junior Championship in Brisbane on 23rd, 24th September!

At the Alice Springs Robocup Junior Challenge on 21st June our students placed First in the Dance Section,
and Second and Fourth in the Rescue Section.
This required much effort and commitment from the students and their team mentors - learning coding, designing and costuming robots, preparing sets and dance moves.

Having the opportunity to develop and showcase their hard work in a national arena rewards the commitment and effort already demonstrated by the students at a regional level and enables them to be inspired with other emerging Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics talents from around Australia.

The students were awarded an Inspiring Australia grant from the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, covering half of the costs involved.  The remaining costs need to be fundraised by the students.

The grant and fundraising monies will cover costs associated with:
*Competition registration such as uniforms, costuming, set design, robotics practice mats
*Transporting eleven students and four team mentors between Alice Springs and Brisbane
*Accommodation and food for the time away from home

We need to raise the funds by the 15th September!

It is a huge financial undertaking to make this possible for our students.
We are running Sausage Sizzles, lawn sales and pooling pocket money to help raise the funds required.

We are coming close to the date where we need to start our journey between Alice Springs and Brisbane.

My name is Emanjilli Marie and I live in Alice Springs. I am one of twelve parents supporting our eleven students to participate in the Australian Robocup Junior Championships.

Once our gofundme campaign finishes,
the money fundraised is deposited directly into our Alice Springs Homeschoolers Bendigo Bank Club Account. There are two member signatures required to withdraw and transfer monies out of this account and distribute between the eleven students and 4 mentors as per agreed budget submitted to the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology.

Any support you can provide to help make this happen would be massively appreciated!
