American Solar Energy Society (Penn State)

Hello!

We are the biggest Solar club at Penn State, the American Solar Energy Society! We pride ourselves in teaching fellow students and community members about solar power and implementing solar devices in communities around the world. These devices come in the form of solar-powered battery boxes that can be used to charge a range of small devices. Last year we built 3 of these boxes and sent them out to a community in need in Puerto Rico after the devastating hurricanes tore through the land (video can be found on our website, linked below). They are still being used to this day. We have 2 more boxes being built to send out to California to help families that have been affected by the wildfires raging through the state.

We need your help!

Our club needs funding to build these boxes and send students out to learn how to install solar on homes and community buildings. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Donating a minimum of $20 will get your name on our website as a top contributor! Please remember that you are donating to help students learn more about solar and provide us with the ability to build more solar boxes for communities in need.

Thank you for taking your time to read and donate!
