ART is my... June 2014
ART is my... is a scholarship showcase designed to bring the youth of New York City together in a positive, welcoming environment. The event will allow youth to express themselves while igniting a sense of unity among the community in highlighting art as a universal language.
We invite high school seniors from New York City to create a work of art that expresses what art means to them. Their created works of art should visually complete the statement "ART is my:"
Three judges will examine the pieces based on originality, creativity, and how effectively each student conveys his or her message through the work. One student will walk away with a partial scholarship to go toward tuition for the undergraduate institution of his or her choice.
We look to have sponsorships and donations fund the event. The money raised here will go toward the scholarship and securing a venue. Any additional money will be donated to a local high school in New York City.
