As a parent, the last thing you want to see is your child on a hospital bed. On June 25th, 2019 – Ahmad had (8 hours long) surgeries done on both his legs. Two surgeons worked to gather on each leg to do the procedures faster.
Procedures done were;
1- Bilateral femoral de-rotation osteotomies,
2- Hamstring lengthening and transfer,
3- Right gastric lengthening,
4- Plus or Minus tibial transfer and tibial posterior lengthening.

ABOUT AHMAD KHAN:
Ahmad is 11 years old. He was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy (SDCP) & Global Developmental Delay (GDD) at the age of one year. He did not walk until age 4 years, he slowly started walking with the help of a specially designed walker. He still needs Special Walker to help him walk. He got BOTOX injections in his legs (from age 3 years) every 4 months to help him keep walking, until these injections stopped working and surgeries were the only option left. He is a brave, happy and shy boy who loves to swim and play on his iPad.
Right now, Ahmad is at Victoria Hospital London, Ontario. On 2nd July, he will be moved to Holland Bloorview Hospital Toronto (for three months at least) for rehab/recovery. Away from home and living in another city for 3 months is going to be very costly, we need your help to make it easy for our family.
Fund raised through this campaign will be used for the following;
-- Physical rehabilitation costs
-- Home care costs
-- Special needs (e.g. diet, clothing, special shoes, toys etc.)
-- Extra physio sessions
-- Other care-related expenses
-- Maintain and better his quality of life while he is recovering
-- Gas to travel to therapies and appointments
