Hey There!

I have Degenerative Disc Disease.  I have had over 15 epidurals, a few trigger point injections and one EXTREMELY painful radio-frequency ablation (cauterizing/burning nerves).  Of course there has been medication, physical therapy and inversion therapy.  I trusted my doctor and had hope he could fix me.  The pain has gotten worse and is now travelling down my legs.  When I would have an "episode" and couldn't get an appointment with my specialist, I ended up in the ER.

On Sunday, July 31st, I was participating in a Bible discussion.  I leaned over to pick up my coffee cup and on the way back up...POP!  I felt intense pain and started to get hot and sweaty...then I started to black out.  The next thing I knew, I was on the floor, I don't remember how I got there.  Here came another trip to the ER where they injected me with the entire pharmacy.  (HA!)  The ER doctor called my specialist to get me an appointment ASAP.  His office told the ER doctor "Kelli must call and make the appointment, you cannot.  However, we can tell you, the next appointment is a week from now."  During this time, I was able to work from home (Thank God!).  This was when I realized it was time for a new doctor.  I found one...

Dr. Plas T. James, at the Atlanta Spine Institute,  they are paying 80% of the bill and you pay 20%."  I cried (ugly crying too) and thanked God.  I had my first appointment with Dr. James on 09/01/16.  Here is a summary of what Dr. James said:  "Kelli, you are in CONSTANT pain.  Most people like me are on disability."  He then gave me an anatomy lesson and showed me the X-Ray’s and MRI.

Life had been getting progressively worse.  I got married, which I thought was the happiest day of my life, until the cheating, neglect and abuse started.  I filed for divorce.  The judge said to him “You know what this looks like, right?  It looks like you used Kelli for a green card and now you are moving monetary marital assets overseas, to keep it from her”.  One of my trips to the ER found a large growth on my pancreas.  Then, of course, there was an MRI w/contrast and a biopsy.

Please Share! Please give! Every dollar will be such a blessing. Many people have been burned after donating money to an organization and then finding out only a fraction of the money goes to the cause of their choice. In this instance, you will know your entire donation is helping someone, a real person…ME!

I know times are hard for many of us and if you can’t donate money, please…please share this post.  It could lead to someone else giving or helping others to know they are not alone in their pain.  If you can give, please do!  I haven’t given up…I won’t give up!  Please don’t give up on me.  Thank you for your prayers and healing energy.  I have hope in myself and hope in all of you.  If you have any questions or if you want to see the actual bills/receipts, please contact me.

To try to keep everything in manageable pieces, I don’t spend any money on going out or eating out.  I go to work and then, I go home.  I have a roommate and we are in the process of finding a less expensive place to live.  Money is tight but, I have hope and I am able to smile again!  See...

I'll be on the rapids again, soon enough
