A Medical Mission To Nigeria
Dear Family & Friends-
Thank you for your support as we prepare to take part in our
first medical mission trip! We are both nursing students in the LPN program at
Renton Technical College, and will be graduating this summer. It has been a
long road for us both to make it this far! We thank our family and friends for
their continued support as we balanced homework, families, friends, clinical
rotations, projects, working on weekends and having emotional ups and downs!
We are looking forward to utilizing our newfound passion and
skills we have discovered over the past year. We will be leaving August 4-12 to
Nigeria and will take part in providing basic nursing care for those less
fortunate. We will be bringing over common supplies and medications that the
remote villages do not have access to. We will be among nursing staff, doctors,
pharmacists, techs and others who are excited to share a unique
experience. We will be going with a
group from Caring Hearts International from Auburn, WA. However, we are asked
to provide our own cost of travel, and are asking for your help!
I realize that finances are tight for all, but if you feel
inclined or are able to make a donation, it would help us to reach our
