Dear A&M Family and Friends!
My name is Laurah Merisier, and I am one of the two music teachers at Bridge prep Academy of Arts and Minds Charter High School for the Performing Arts. It is my second year at BAAM and I am already astonished by the level of talent and passion that exude from my students. BAAM has recently faced many financial hardships due to some changes in management and administration. The school is working hard to get back on its feet, and the music program is essentially in a rebuilding phase. In order for our program to flourish, as it should, there are some basic resources that we need in order to achieve our goals.
Unfortunaly, in our current financial situation, we are unable to purchase the most basic musical needs for our programs. Many of our students cannot afford to purchase their own instruments since 40% of our students are on free and reduced lunch.
With the start of the 2015-2016 school year it is our goal to put BAAM Performing Arts programs back on the map! We would like you to be a part of the exciting new venture and would be grateful for any amount of support.
If you would like to be a part of this exciting opportunity, it would be wonderful if you could donate to our cause, because every penny will make a difference.
All donations go to BAAM's 501c3 account and are tax deductible to the extent provided by the law, with permission granted by our principal, Dr. DiGirolamo. Bridgeprep Academy of Arts & Minds will provide each donor with a 501c3 certificate of donation as proof for tax deduction.
