ACL Surgery for High School Senior

Donation protected
Abraham is 17 and a stand-out soccer player. Unfortunetely, he tore his ACL in his knee and requires surgery. The out-of-pocket costs to have this surgery will fall upon his single mother and will put his family in debt for some time. Abraham will be a senior at a St. Paul high school in the fall of 2013.

Currently, Abraham's mom supports him and his almost 2-year old sister on her own and works very hard with a full-time job and side cleaning jobs. Abraham's dad lives in Mexico and is not able to provide any financial support. Abraham came to the United States when he was 11 years old and is in the process of applying for DREAM status, which makes him ineligible for any financial assistance from programs that would normally help defray medical costs for children.

Finances are extremely tight, and perhaps getting worse with the upcoming surgery.

Abraham and his family have no idea that this account is being set up--they are truly hard workers and never ask for anything. But, they desperately need this help and they are close family friends of ours.

Any donation would help lighten the load for them.
