ABANTU Tour 2019

Donation protected

Hi!

My name is Albertina Thabisani Ncube. I am a 20 year old photographer and developing videographer originally from Zimbabwean but based in Perth, Australia.

During my journey back to Zimbabwe in 2017 I was inspired to create a documentary film called ABANTU - People of Art. The purpose behind the ‘Abantu’ (meaning ‘people’ in Zulu/Ndebele language) film is to highlight the lives of young creatives located across Zimbabwe. They discuss their artistry and the struggle of being young artists in Zimbabwe’s creative industry/scene. Despite; the doubt from their community which creates self doubt and the economic instability, they never lose sight of their vision.

The purpose of this GoFundMe campaign is to raise funds to host the very first  "ABANTU Tour" event in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe!
This event is being created to unit young creatives based throughout Zimbabwe. Aday filled with creatives coming together, networking and showcasing their arts and creativity, as this is something that hasn't yet been done in the country and for the country.

The only way this can all happen is with your support!

The overall goal is to raise AUD$5,000. Funds raised will go towards creating merchandise, venue hire, performing artists and more.
