A survival guide Ally would want for her mother

Simone is living every parents’ worst nightmare.. but here she is breathing, and surviving for her friends and family. There are so many people hurting over the tragic and sudden loss of her only baby, her beautiful daughter Ally, whose 18th Birthday we celebrated just a few months ago, 2 weeks before she grew her wings for Heaven. None of us could have been ready for this nor could it ever have been expected. She was so excited to turn 18 and had so many fun plans, schedules and to do lists and was such a happy and inspiring girl. If we had have known this tragedy would be ours, we would have done anything in the world to stop it.

In this unimaginable time Simone has struggled to be financially stable. She has for many years, been a supportive single mother to Ally. As with everything we are all going through facing change after change in our freedoms to be ourselves through covid, she is also now living alone, but most importantly without her favourite person in the world. Family and friends have been able to keep her afloat, while she tries to find a way through this, to be independent living by herself through strict lockdowns and barriers to becoming financially independent again.

There were times Simone didn't want to live initially, which broke our already broken hearts. She has come a long way, and has finally chosen a path for survival, she now knows Ally would want for her. In her her own words, "All so I can continue to learn to live a new life, one I never asked for or wanted, without my beautiful Ally living with me. And for my beautiful friends and family."

We feel the need to reach out to the wider empathetic community to assist her in her survival guide to get back on her feet, one where she can continue to have time to honour Ally. She often feels conflicted with balancing work and the time required to heal. She is hiking and meditating every day, she works where she can and does a little bit of “Ally everyday” which helps her to heal. We know people genuinely want to help. And this page is for everyone wanting to do so.

On top of a heavy funeral debt she never expected to have to pay for, she would like to create a memorial space, special to Ally, where her friends can go to pay their very personal respects. Many of her friends have asked for this, and we feel they deserve it. Ally deserves it.
