A Promise to Micah

Donation protected
First and foremost, I want to thank you for clicking on this GoFundMe and taking the time to read this. It means so much to me and the people I am raising this money for.

On Sunday night, January 21st, I received a call from one of my best friends. He gave me the news that one of my good friends, Micah, had passed away in a head on collision on a two lane highway. This news came as a shock to everyone close to him and, as I am writing this, it still hasn't officially set in that he is gone. We grew up together, played on the same baseball teams and attended the same high school. We would always have baseball dinners when we made varsity, and bonded like brothers. The entire time I knew Micah, I never saw him angry. He was always smiling, making jokes, and just being a kid. Which, looking back now, I appreciate so much. He knew how to be a good friend... a great friend. So in return, I want to be what he was to me, a great friend.

Now that you know a little about Micah, I am going to explain the situation at hand. Micah was a soon to be father. His son, Kaison Nathaniel Millican, is due April 17th.  As much as Micah would have loved to be here to see the birth of his son, he will be watching from above. This GoFundMe is for Kaison. I want to ease the pain of the two struggling families in this hard time.

I have no doubt that Kaison will grow up to be the spitting image of his father. An amazing person at heart, with a wit for jokes, and a baseball player till the end (I will make sure that happens).

It is in all of us to feel empathy and to care for those that are experiencing rough times. It is our duty to help make things easier on them. After all, it is what we do best. We come together and display the power/connection within humanity; it is within each and every one of us and is one of the most beautiful aspects of life.  I truly believe that starting this campaign and spreading the word will help Kaison’s mom, Alyx and the family. Please help me raise the funds and spread the word. Anything and everything helps. We have the ability to change someone's life right here, right now. I am honored to have the ability to run this campaign and support the family in any way I can.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to read this. It means the world to me and the family. I also want to let you know that you are a blessing and we wouldn't be able to make change without YOU. Thank you.
