A Social Worker's Holiday

In the spirit of the holiday season, social workers and students from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work will be hosting a Holiday dinner for 75 kids and their families on Christmas Day 2014, at Avalon Diner in Stafford, Texas.
These children come from dire circumstances, and all of them have faced issues such as abuse, neglect and abandonment. We feel that by providing these kids a holiday meal, a modest gift, and a day of encouragement, it will be the beginning of positive encouragement that will serve them throughout their lives. We are humbly requesting a donation of any amount to support this worthwhile effort. We understand that this may be one one many worthy requests you may receive this holiday season, and we are appreciative of whatever you are able to give.

As a local business owner, I have garnered the support of other businesses, community officials, and individuals for this project.
