On the 19th of November, the day our world changed forever, our amazing Dad received life changing news and was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurological condition that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching the muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. This in turn can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe.
Being told there is no cure for MND is a hard pill to swallow but our Dad has shown so much strength over the last few weeks that we know he will fight to the very end.
To take the financial worry away from him, myself and my brothers are setting up this go fund me to help dad to live comfortably and carry on with his day to day life.
With the possibility of eventually ending up in a wheelchair, dad will need to move to a wheelchair accessible house with his partner and two boys as the house they are currently living in will not suffice.
We would be so grateful if you could donate to help dad on his journey and anything at all would be so appreciated.
