Fundraiser for Philip

In 2012, Philip Lucas (Luke) was diagnosed with Melanoma. He was sent to M.D.Anderson in Houston for the removal of a scalp lesion. After surgical removal of most of his scalp and skin grafts he was given radiation. For 3 months he was 'Cancer Free'. Then when he went for his 6 month check up, 2 more tumors were noted on his scalp. He was started on a Clinical Trial drug. It worked very well to rid him of those scalp tumors but did nothing to prevent the spread of this aggressive skin cancer. A tumor came up in his left lung, very close to his heart. By February he had a brain tumor as well. Then in March he had trouble walking, holding onto furniture and even began falling. Back to Houston. A tumor was inside of his spinal cord and cancer cells were in the spinal fluid. This began 10 radiation treatments to the spine and then 10 whole brain radiation treatments. Hospitalized for 4 weeks, sedated for each radiation treatment and trying to learn to live life without the use of his legs by physical therapy, occupational therapy and training to assist in his daily needs. Each and every trip to Houston requires paid parking, hotel stays, food not to mention the testing done and treatments. Now he was admitted via an ambulance from Lake Charles to MD. Anderson on Memorial Day and is fighting for his life. He had a boil on the back of his leg that developed gangrene and he became Septic. Now we are facing 2 years of medical bills and our fight is far from over. We need HELP! We are at risk of losing everything we have. Please help. No donation is too small. Thank You!
