SAVE OUR SOUL!

If you know Soul, You know he is the sweetest boy in the World - a true Angel ! He is everyone's dog.. and everyone who meets him, loves him!

Soul started not being himself on NOV 25 2017. He was shaking, weak, didn't want to move... and So I took him into the vet a few times. We did Blood work, Xrays.. nothing gave us any insight as to what was happening. He had stopped eating and that was a major concern.

On Nov 30th I rushed him to CTVRC (an emergency clinic) where they diagnosed him with Addison's Disease. He is unable to produce his own stress hormones and balance electrolytes. They told me he won't survive without daily / monthly treatment.. but at least we knew how to treat it. He spent Friday to Monday there.

He got discharged from CTVRC on Monday Dec 4th and we kept him resting and in recovery mode. We sought a few more clinics for second opinions. 

But then, on Dec 5th, I noticed his original symptoms coming back.. shaking, weak, not being himself. But this time his gums were extremly pale. And he started having what we are calling "episods". He would collapse, body stiff, moan and then be fine. It was the most traumatic thing to watch my baby go through. 

On Dec 6th, I rushed him to MOVEH emergency clinic. He has internal bleeding and is losing blood, which was causing his episodes.  His RBC count was so low that he was weak and shaking. He needed an immediate blood tranfusion to kick his RBC back up and an ultrasound to see if we can get to the bottom of the bleeding. 

He has taken well to the blood transfusion so far. Now we have to hope that the blood takes and stays in his system. Nothing came up in the ultrasound so we will have to do a scope test to see what is causing his internal bleeding. 

As you can imagine, Soul and I have had an incredible emotional week and a half. Been to 3 vets and 2 emergency clinics. My baby is fighting so hard to beat this. He is so strong and mommy is so grateful each day for having him!

We are looking at an overall vet bill of $12,000 right now and each day will indicate if he will need more tests, meds, days in hospital to recovery etc. Emergency clinics are very costly. My family has tried their best to support me through this, but we cannot afford to keep Soul alive on our own!

There is still much more to come for Soul and we are praying that his bpdy is strong to heal his internal bleeding. Please pray for the sweetest and best dog in the world.!
