Following her Footsteps…to Kampala!

Greetings Family,

Over the years many of you have supported my growth as a 'creative' through active encouragement, purchasing my art, and sharing my work. Well, today I come to you in the hopes that you will continue to support my creative dreams and aspirations.

I am deeply honoured to be one of 22 participants selected to be a part of the African Women's Development Fund's first creative non-fiction writer’s workshop this summer, in Kampala, Uganda. I am really looking forward to a summer of creative growth and working on my writing. From July 21st through July 31st, I will learn from award winning writers Mamle Kabu and Yewande Omotoso, be immersed in a rigorous writing program, and work side by side with other talented African women writers.

While I have been offered a generous scholarship to attend the workshop, there are travel costs associated with my trip that I will need to cover on my own.

I am now reaching out to you my friends to ask you to consider contributing a small amount in support of my participation in the program.

My GoFundMe deadline is June 30th and I would be so grateful if you could help me reach my goal!
