During the past few weeks the world has turned upside down for many people due to the covid-10 pandemic. The Philippines suffers also great hardship during worlwide challenging times.
We have received multiple requests of travelers willing to provide financial support and asked us to coordinate and identify people in need.
Who are we, why us?
For more than 10 years Frendz Hostel has been honored to host and accommodate travelers from the Philippines and around the world. Traveling brings people together from various walks of life & continents.
Who is Linus? Linus is a traveler who stayed at Frendz many times in the past. He also spent the quarantine time here and is currently on the ground coordinating online activities with the Frendz team.
During these worldwide testing times due to the covid-19 pandemic we want to create an opportunity to build a bridge between travelers who love the Philippines and local families in need.
Our hostel team on the ground ensures that 100% of all donations reach people in need in the local communities of El Nido, Palawan and Boracay, Aklan. No administration cost will be deducted since the Frendz team is helping to organize and execute this campaign.
What’s the impact your donations can make? How will the funds be used?
This campaign is focusing on fast and immediate help for people in need fighting for daily food supply and critical needed medications. Our local team also identifies people in need not covered by the government programs. Just 20$ can already help a person to cover a minimum food supply for 10 days or could help to buy critical needed medications.
