GC Mass Band Tournament of Roses Parade Trip

The Gibson County Mass Band, made up of high school band members from Gibson County HS, Peabody HS, Milan HS, Humboldt HS, and South Gibson County HS, was selected as one of 12 bands out of over 120 to participate in the 2022 Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena, California.  This group, founded by the late Pete Evans in 1988, has come together every four years to participate in the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival.  His dream was to take this group to a national level - and here is their opportunity.  The week-long trip will consist of three performances for the students - a parade along Main Street at Disneyland, Band Fest where they will perform a field show, and the Prestigious Tournament of Roses parade.  While there, the students will have the opportunity to do such things as dip their toes in the Pacific Ocean, visit the famed Santa Monica Pier, spend a day at Knott's Berry Farm, and watch the final float preparations for the parade.  This trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of these students, and in additional to individual fundraising, platforms like GoFundMe will help insure that all the students have the chance to experience the greatness.  Donations to this fund will benefit all Mass Band Members!
