Autism Service Dog for Maximus

Please help my family in getting my 4 year old son Maximus who is non-verbal, autistic with serious elopement, and developmental delays, an autism service dog. My son was officially diagnosed a few months before his 3rd birthday. He has few words to communicate, it is limited to “juice, cheerios and eat”. My son has no sense of fear or danger, therefore will often attempt to run off. His limited vocabulary - it would be difficult for him to communicate his name, address, or his parents’ names. He also suffers from sensory issues. Loud sounds, flashing lights can put his senses into overdrive – creating confusion and fear in him. It is a stressful experience going out. Often at home even though we have taken many safety precautions any outdoor gates have pad locks, doors have alarms should they be opened and safety gates/locks where possible. The peace of mind a service dog would add to our family would be priceless. It would allow my husband and I not to feel on constant edge when we are out with our children. It would also allow our son Maximus the independence he deserves to explore the world safely. These autism service dogs are trained for so much more than just safety. These dogs are trained to provide companionship, independence, social acceptance and of course help reduce some of the parental stress. The autism service dog would be by his side 24/7.
Our family recently purchased a service dog but had the misfortune of being scammed. The dog was barely trained and abused. We sadly have depleted our funds and are not able to get him a proper service animal for his safety. We appreciate any assistance that you could help provide our family.
