<div>Every day, more than 520 rescued animals rely on Fundación Gato Feliz Venezuela, located in Maracaibo, Venezuela, to survive.

<div>Since 2007, Fundación Gato Feliz Venezuela has rescued hundreds of abused, injured, sick, malnourished and neglected animals, living in state of abandonment.
</div>
<div>We currently provide food, shelter and basic veterinary services, to approximately 400 cats and 120 dogs, all rescued from the streets, or abuse, negligence, and abandonment.
</div>

<div>We also feed colonies of cats in different parts of the city, provide food for for pets of low income families, and help smaller shelters and independent rescuers in our city who seldom get any or no help, because few know they exist.
</div>

<div>Currently, animal shelters and rescues in Venezuela are facing one of the worst crisis in our history. Donations have declined drastically, directly impacting our ability to continue helping and rescuing helpless animals.
</div>
<div>The need for food, medicines and veterinary care doesn't stop. It is an every day need.
</div>

<div>After the recent earthquakes in Venezuela, the focus and donations, as it should be, is going towards disaster relief in areas that have been devastated. Sadly, a situation that was already critical, has gotten even worse for shelters and rescues in the rest of the country, who struggle every day to stay open. Unfortunately, there is no government help.

<div>The devastation can fade away from the news. Hunger does not.
</div>

<div>100% of the donations go directly to help the animals: food, vet care, medicines and rescues. It also helps us to continue supporting smaller shelters and independent rescuers that are often forgotten.

<div>Cada día, más de 520 animales rescatados dependen de Fundación Gato Feliz Venezuela, ubicada en Maracaibo, Venezuela, para sobrevivir.
</div>

<div>Desde el 2007, Fundación Gato Feliz Venezuela ha rescatado cientos de animales maltratados, heridos, enfermos, desnutridos y en situación de abandono.
</div>
<div>Actualmente brindamos alimento, refugio y atención veterinaria a aproximadamente 400 gatos y 120 perros, todos rescatados de las calles o de situaciones de maltrato, negligencia y abandono.

<div>Además, alimentamos colonias de gatos en diferentes sectores de la ciudad, ayudamos con alimento a mascotas de familias de bajos recursos, y apoyamos a pequeños refugios y rescatistas independientes que, en muchos casos, reciben poca o ninguna ayuda simplemente porque casi nadie conoce su labor.

<div>Hoy, los refugios de animales en Venezuela enfrentan una de las peores crisis de nuestra historia. Las donaciones han disminuido drásticamente, afectando directamente nuestra capacidad de seguir rescatando y cuidando animales indefensos. La necesidad de alimento, medicinas y atención veterinaria, no se detiene. Es una necesidad de todos los días.

<div>Tras los recientes terremotos en Venezuela, la ayuda y donaciones se han destinado, con toda razón, a las zonas devastadas por esta tragedia. Tristemente, esto ha agravado aún más la difícil situación de los refugios de animales en el resto del país, muchos de los cuales luchan cada día por mantenerse abiertos. Lamentablemente, no hay apoyo gubernamental.

<div>El 100 % de cada donación se destina directamente al bienestar de los animales: alimento, atención veterinaria, medicamentos, rescates y refugio. También nos permite seguir apoyando a pequeños refugios y rescatistas independientes que, con frecuencia, quedan olvidados.
