Help Patti with travel & medical expense

To all Patti's loved ones,
As you know, Patti was involved in a very serious auto accident on 5/14 while on vacation in South Africa with her brother Steve. I am sure you all agree that Patti is an immensely interesting, selfless and beautiful person. I could go on and on describing her unique personality. Her injuries have required her ongoing hospitalization in Worcester South Africa with my brother's exceptional support and caring, staying at her bedside for much of the last 3 weeks. This unfortunate event has been unbelievably difficult; physically, emotionally and financially.
I am taking on this challenge through gofundme.com to do what little I can to reach out for support. We cannot undo the past, but perhaps with the contributions of her many friends and family we might help Patti put the worse behind her.
First and foremost is the challenging and exhausting struggle to get Patti back home to the US.  It has been astonishing to learn the resources needed for repatriation abroad requiring stretcher transportation. It is a daunting task, far beyond the means of any average family when insurance denies coverage. In addition some of the medical care and testing, as well as all of the medical supplies (even soap, lotions and face clothes) must be purchased out of pocket.
With your help, I not only want to get Patti back home, but my hope is to alleviate as many stressors as possible that this time in S. Africa has proliferated. Although Patti is the strongest woman I know and has always been resilient in the face of adversity, this crisis would test anyone’s spirit and fortitude. When Patti returns she needs to devote her efforts towards healing her emotional and physical scars; healing while knowing just how many people out there love her dearly. Please join me in the effort to help unburden Patti from at least one of the many hardships brought on during this time of tribulation. Any contribution at all will bring her one step closer to rebuilding and restoring her well-being.
