After years of rescuing animals, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible benefits that sanctuaries provide. At Butterfly Dog Sanctuary, we open our doors to animals so they can live out the rest of their lives in safety and comfort. While we still rescue and adopt out animals when possible, we’ve seen how much they thrive when given the security of a permanent home. Here, they can finally relax, heal, and become part of a loving family.

<div>Many of the animals who come to us have been tossed aside or forgotten, often arriving in heartbreaking condition. Some have been near death, but with love, care, and the support of compassionate people, we’re able to provide food, shelter, and medical care. Just recently, we welcomed a pug named Mustache who arrived extremely skinny, with visible bones, an infected and bulging eye, hundreds of fleas and ticks, and a dislocated leg. Within a week of care, he made a complete turnaround. Stories like Mustache’s are why we do what we do.
