Volunteer Work in Cambodia

Dear Friends and Family,
Twelve years ago my life changed when I discovered my passion for hair and beauty. I felt so excited to find something that gave me such a rewarding feeling and that was making people feel and look beautiful. There is the age old saying that if you love what you do, it will never feel like work. That being said while it doesn't feel like work, I have definitely worked extremely hard and have hit many milestones throughout my career especially at RED 7 SALON, an award winning salon that has given me so much opportunity. I've gone from being an assistant in their intense Assistant Training Program to a professional stylist on the floor to now being an Educator for the same program I assisted in myself. Hitting these milestones and having these experiences within my career have shaped and molded me so much that I've always been looking for something challenging, different, and again rewarding. That's when I found Justice and Soul:

Justice and Soul is an organization whose mission is to establish a school in Cambodia in which they teach young women and children who have been victims of human trafficking fundamental cosmetology skills in order to provide education, and develop them with a self sufficient skills. These women will not have to pay for their education and stylists from all over the U.S are being selected to help educate these women to start better lives for themselves, their children, and their families. To read more you can go the Justice And Soul website:

I discovered this organization through my company RED 7 SALON, and I was immediately interested. After a wonderful conversation with the founders of
Justice and Soul I realized how much their mission spoke to me and wanted to know what I could do. It was the familiar rewarding feeling I had when I first started my career 12 years ago. After my interview, they said they wanted to have me on board to execute the mission I so firmly believe in. This means I will be temporarily leaving Chicago and going to Cambodia for the months of November and December and I will not be receiving any compensation for the program. This is why I'm reaching out to all of you for your support. Whether it be one dollar or twenty dollars, no donation is too big or too small. This will help me greatly in reaching my goal.  Thank you very much for reading and for your continued support.

Love,
Timea
