Ava had her much anticipated scoliosis correction surgery on Monday the 9th of November. The surgery went very well however within 24 hours Ava developed complications. On Thursday night it was revealed through an urgent MRI that she had experienced a very rare complication and significant spinal cord damage.
Ava was in PICU under bipap (breathing support) as the nerve damage is causing issues throughout her body. She currently has no feeling or movement from her chest down. Ava is now on a ward, however she still has little concerns with her breathing. Its hectic for the family at the moment, but they all have one goal! To get there girl back to optimal health.
Ava is a fighter with a smile and laugh that lights up absolutely any room! We all believe and pray for Ava to make a full recovery.
For the Larder family hospital is home for the next few months. I wanted to put this funding page together for the Larder family. These donations would help go towards supports for the family home.
