Riley’s top surgery (recovery) fund

Hey everyone!

My name is Riley and I’m non-binary. I have struggled every day for years with dysphoria about my chest and I know that having top surgery will change my life. 


I was referred to a gender clinic in 2016 and it finally looks as if I will be having surgery in the next year or 2. I am really lucky that I’ve been given the go-ahead to get my surgery on the NHS. 


I work as a pet-sitter and since this is such a physical job I will have to take about 2 months off whilst I recover.  Because I am self-employed I do not have any sick or holiday pay so I have to save up some money to help me to cover living costs whilst I’m away from work; unfortunately most, if not all of my wages go towards living expenses and I am struggling to save up the amount I will need in the (potentially quite short) time before surgery. 



I started this fundraiser a while ago because some people expressed that they would like to help me when I thought I would have to go privately for surgery, which I’m so grateful for. Any money I raise will be used for travel to/from surgery and to help me to cover rent and bills whilst I’m not able to work.
