My niece Tobey Grigg Allen was answering the Fireman's Cold Water Challenge to raise money for someone with cancer on Sunday June 1, 2014. In this challenge you do something with cold water after someone else has completed their challenge,they challenge you and so on. Tobey chose to jump off of a pier into the cold water of the James River. One problem, the tide had now gone out and what was deep water was now shallow (about 3 feet).She completed her challenge, she landed in the shallow water hard, she broke both ankles and her left leg. Needless to say she is in great pain,facing extensive surgery, a long recovery and being out of work for a while. Her occupation deals with child safety seats, she has devoted her life to helping others. Now, she is the one who needs help,she's not alone, she has a 10 year old daughter that depends greatly on her. Tobey is a special person who doesn't ask for help, she seeks out those who need help.Please help, she will recover and be the person she once was.Thank you
