Princess Dahlia

Donation protected
We are out of post production and the short film has gone to film festival submissions. We've also been approached about turning the short into a feature, so stay tuned.

It took about 50 people but we made it into post production thanks to an awesome production crew, the actors, extras,  those who lent us locations, built the miniature, served the food and cheered us on. Now, Princess Dahlia is in the capable hands of editor Mike Brush and VXF editor Darren T. Brown.

We've still got a mile or two to go before we can send the film off to film festivals.  Any money coming in now will go toward post production, editing and special effects.

Please know that we don't ask for your hard earned money lightly. We won't spend it frivolously either. We promise that we'll use it to make a quality film you will be proud to be a part of. Our success is your success. We want you to be able to say, "Hell yeah! I helped make that film."

ABOUT THE FILM:

We have an adventurous tale to tell about a modern-day princess who lives in the kingdom of Dhaleander.  We made it up but it's still a story that needs to be told. Why? Because dragons still exist.  Only they don't look like dragons anymore. And we need Princess Dahlia to help us see them. And you know what? She's bad-ass enough to kick their butts. Even though she doesn't know it at first.

OK. So we needed a solid script full of action and drama . Check! Princess Dahlia was written by Brigette ReDavid who earned her MFA in Dramatic Writing at NYU. Brigette is a seasoned writer (and former journalist) with accolades from the Nichol competition, Austin Film Festival & more.

Next, we needed a creative, experienced production crew. Check! Danny Belinkie is the talented cinematographer who makes the magic happen. Princess Dahlia will also be a success thanks to the creative genius of Jon Barden and Phil Kwarta. Brigette's directing Princess Dahlia with lots of advice from Danny and Jon. In fact, the three have teamed up in the past to produce the award-winning short ROYAL FLUSH.

Now, we need one last thing. We need you to join our executive producers to help us lift this from script to screen.  Creating a fairy tale is anything but cheap - just ask anyone at Disney.

The money you give will be used for production expenses and to create the Kingdom of Dhaleander.  As soon as we are safely out of self-isolation, we are filming a scene with Princess Dahlia and Handsome Eugene.  We have already filmed the first scene, which we show here.
