Sara and Luther have been together for over eight years but their dream of having a child began long before that. When it comes to deciding to have a child "“ some of us decide when we meet the right person, some of us decide at a certain stage of our life, and then others just always know that one day they will be a parent because it's an innate part of who they are "“ Sara and Luther undeniably fall into the first and last categories. A little less than four years ago Sara became pregnant and she and Luther were elated that their role as parents was about to begin. Sadly, Sara suffered a miscarriage and their dreams of parenting were postponed until her body healed and they could begin to try again. Luther and Sara have been consistently trying to create a family of their own for the past four years. Due to the clock ticking slightly louder now, they've had to seek fertility treatments to aid in their quest for the last year and a half. The expenses that have gone into these treatments have been extensive and continue to be. At this stage of their pursuit they've been told that it's necessary for Sara to partake in IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) treatment in order for them to have a child. As most of us know either first hand or via friends and/or family IVF is very costly. Sara has been fortunate to come across "“Reproductive Partners Medical Group - http://www.reproductivepartners.com/financial-information/ivf-success-programs.html -program/-and compared to others this IVF clinic is offering a very reasonable rate for two to three treatments at a comparatively low cost. Even at this comparatively low cost the bottom line amount is still very costly - $22,000 to be exact. Sara and Luther both work two jobs and other than their living expenses all their income has gone towards their fertility treatments over the last eighteen months. They can continue to cover the cost of some of the fertility meds but are unable to come up with the amount of the IVF. This is where we come in. As one of Sara's long-term and best friends I know how incredibly deserving she and Luther are to become parents and if I had it I wouldn't think twice about giving them the funds to fulfill this lifelong and well deserved dream "“ but unfortunately I don't have it to give. I do however believe that collectively WE "“ her friends, family and compassionate fellows "“ can without a doubt raise this money and be part of helping Sara and Luther create their beautiful family.
