A Christmas Wish

Hello, my name is DamePa'z and I am the mother of a wonderful little girl. I'd like to tell you about Damiel. A special little girl, age 7, who is fighting a world of darkness with a smile. She started out as a healthy baby until she was six weeks old. March 17th 2013 was a cruel day. We took our little one to the hospital and had to watch her battle for her life for nearly a week. She had bacterial meningitis and it was not something anyone thought she would survive; but she did. Left with many deficits, Damiel was told she'd never make it to the age of 3 and yet she defied all odds and turned 7 this past February. Her 7th birthday was spent in a hospital and after opening presents we were presented with news we couldn't bare. She will not make it much longer. They can't say if it'll be 6 months or 2 years but the for sure outcome is that she will be a child still when her life comes to an end. Over the years she has been in and out of hospitals. She is dependent on machines during the night to sleep and 20 hours a day she relies on a feeding pump for nutrition. She's gone through 3 surgeries and takes on the world daily. People look at her because she cannot walk or talk at her age, they pity her; yet once they get to know her that pity turns to love because she is a ray of light for many. Myself included. I have her to thank for being who I am today and the best mother that I can be. She smiles so bright as if nothing has ever happened to her. We've been blessed to have had her survive as long as she has. We've been blessed not to struggle with bills and rent during the covid-19 crisis. However we will not be able to give her a Christmas this year. This could possibly be her last, though we do not know for sure and so we would like to make it as special as possible. Please help us give her more smiles and help us make it so Santa stops by this year.
