Hit & Run

On Friday August 11th The Miller family experienced a very large unexpected setback. After finishing his day at work Elliott was riding home on his Harley heading south bound on Beach blvd when a black SUV t boned him sending Elliott off his bike into the opposite side of the road into on coming traffic. By the time he woke up there was no SUV in site. He busted his left shoulder, ribs and tore every ligiment in his left foot and is waiting to find out if he needs surgery or not. These last few weeks have put Elliott (the main provider for his family) in serious distress. With multiple late night hospital visits due to pain, continuous medication bills adding up and possible reconstructive surgery in the following weeks the family is struggling to make ends meet. Elliott normally works 5 days a week, pushing 50 hours as a journeyman carpenter but since the 11th he has not been able to return to his career. This accident has forced him to take off several months before he even thinks about returning to his job. Not only are funds running low but anxiety and hopelessness are setting in. With a 7 and 4 yr old, taking off of work is unimaginable. Elliott is an amazing father. The type of man that works from 4am to 5pm, drives home and immediately takes his boys to the skate park to push them around until dark. However, accidents happen and all this family can do is ask for the support of their friends and family.
