I have some exciting news I would like to share with you! God has opened the door for me to participate in The Leadership Institute’s Residency Program at Christ Church of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona. This residency program develops students in ten ministry competency areas that are difficult to teach effectively in the classroom. Over 85% of all trained pastors leave the field of ministry within the first five years. This residency program could potentially prevent me from falling into one of those statistics. Throughout this residency I will be mentored at a 1:6 student/coach ratio. This program is not only a ministry, but also a chance for me to achieve an M.A. degree in Strategic Ministry in ten months through their partnership with Johnson University.
The overall cost for this residency is $14,940. This cost completely covers my tuition, room and board, and educational resources. Included in this experience is also a trip to Israel, where we will be taking our life of Christ course! I will begin on August 1 and will graduate with the degree in May 2015.
I am really excited about this new chapter God is writing, and I know that this will affect my ministry over the course of my lifetime. Graduating from Point University, as a dual major in Biblical Studies and Preaching is a great accomplishment; however, I believe furthering my education will empower me to have greater influence in the Kingdom. Studying at The Leadership Institute will grant me the opportunity to experience a different culture and to learn how to effectively go into a broken world and preach the Word of God.
I am so grateful for all the ways so many of you have already made such grand impacts on my life and have poured into me. This is another avenue of life in which I am asking you to join me. My desire would be to fund this program without incurring additional student loan debt. Would you prayerfully consider giving a financial gift to make my dream become a reality?
I would especially appreciate your prayers for me as I launch into this great ministry and educational challenge and for the residency program. Thank you for your investment in me and for considering joining with me on this journey!
