Many people I know have daily struggles and sadly I have had people I love and families of people I love and friends I have had in my life that the struggle was to hard to bare.
We need to know we can talk to people, no matter who they are.
On the 5th of december
Hugs for free would love to walk the length green way 15 times which is around 29 miles. This will take approximately 13 hours. We would like to invite anyone that can walk on the 5th of December in aid of mental health awareness and we'll being to join us, even if it's only a little way.
In some schools they have friendship benches and if a child is feeling alone or sad, they can sit on the bench and a child's instinct is to check in on them.
We would love to raise money for a friendship bench to be put on the Greenway in padiham and dedicate to those who sadly struggled to cope with life and left loved ones behind.
Our hope is to raise £3000 to have the bench made that will be inscripted for its purpose. Our aim is for people to learn they have somewhere to go to sit and speak to a stranger if it helps and to know it's good to talk.
We would love to raise enough for more than one that would be amazing if we could put one, or even a hundred in other places. Thank you for reading.
