Introduction:
The issue of improper waste disposal is a pressing one that affects not only our local communities but also the global environment. It is crucial that we educate ourselves and others about the importance of proper waste disposal and how we can make a difference. That's why we propose to create an educational program that will raise awareness of this pressing matter and perhaps help people make more appropriate choices.
Objective:
Our goal is to reduce the amount of waste in our local community and promote sustainability.
Methods:
We plan to use a variety of methods to reach our objective, including and not limited to:
Workshops - We will organize workshops to educate the community about different types of waste and how to properly dispose of them.
Incentive program - We will create an app that teaches and motivates proper recycling by rewarding people with our native crypto token Denr. The token can be kept or exchanged for other items in our marketplace.
Expected Outcomes:
- Increased awareness and knowledge about proper waste disposal among the community.
- Reduction of waste in the community.
- Increase in recycling and reduction of single-use plastics
- Help place Canada in the Top 10 best countries that recycle (currently in 26th place).
Funding:
We are asking for $15,000 to cover the costs of organizing workshops, building the rewards APP and for the outreach marketing material.
