Alan Whitehead Medical Fund

Donation protected
As many of you know Alan Whitehead became critically ill a couple of weeks ago and has been fighting for his life ever since. We are hoping to raise money to help this amazing family with medical bills, home bills and the cost for Amanda, Alan's wife, to stay in Birmingham with her husband. Alan became very ill, very quickly and we are not sure why or how but he is septic, he has Staph Infection in his blood stream, his kidneys and intestines are not functioning properly so he is on dialysis, he has coded a couple of times and he is breathing on his own some but he is on a ventilator. Alan has been in a coma through all of this and we were recently advised that he now has internal bleeding in the stomach. We have also been advised multiple times that the doctors didn't have much hope and we were even told that Alan didn't have brain activity at one point. I realize how horrible all of that sounds, however, Alan has a tremendous support system that is full of Faith and Love and everyone is relentless with prayer and standing firm in the belief that God is not finished with this amazing, God fearing man. With all of the unwavering faith Alan was able to show everyone that he is still in this fight and is not giving up. He started answering questions by shaking and nodding his head and of course the newer test results show brain activity. On Sunday night we were surprised by Bay Medical Center and we were told that UAB (University of Alabama Birmingham) had accepted Alan as a patient, a bed was ready and waiting for him and he would be airlifted that night. This was a miracle in itself because we had previously been advised that Alan was too critical to be transported anywhere. Anyone that knows Alan will tell you that he is a fighter, he loves his family and friends and will do anything to get back to them and he has unbelievable faith in the Lord God Almighty! Since the moment that Alan turned his life over to God he has worked hard to build His kingdom and Alan has reached so many people. He works with the youth and still has a lot of work yet to be done. We know that Alan will fight this sickness until he is back with us. Alan and Amanda have 3 kids and Alan's main concern when he became sick was that his family would be taken care of. Amanda has been unbelievably strong and supportive and she is with Alan in Birmingham while the kids are here in Panama City Florida being cared for by all of the friends and family. Amanda has enough on her mind as it is and we want to make sure that she doesn't have to worry about the finances right now and that she has a place to stay while he is at UAB. Please search your heart and think about donating any amount that God lays on your mind. No amount is to small and we appreciate every dime. I know how tight money is for everyone and you may not be able to provide a monetary donation. If that is the case we simply ask that you continue to pray for this family and the doctors. Thank you and may God Bless you all!
