All at once she was told that she recently had a heart attack that did damage that she wasn't aware of, she had severe undiagnosed diabetes, and ultimately she would have to have her leg amputated due to diabetic complications. She has been in the hospital going on a month. Through a series of unfortunate circumstances, life is going to change for her forever.
She is due to come home very soon. She has lived in her home for over thirty years and wants to stay there. Unfortunately again, she is on a very limited income. While my sister's and I have and will continue to help as much as we can, we can only do so much. She was also recently denied disability so that puts another strain on her recovery and is a source of stress.
My mom has always been willing to help others, even before herself. She has put on many benefits, cleaned houses and been a good sounding board or shoulder to cry on. It is because of this that I created this fundraiser. She would never ask for the help, but she needs it. We have many things that need to be done to the house and there are other necessities that she just can't do.
I hope that my mom has touched your life in some way. She is a great friend, loving grandmother, and an awesome mom. If so, it would be a major help and you would have my deep gratitude if you could see it to donate even one dollar. I'm not good at benefits, so this was the only thing that I could really do.
All of the proceeds would go directly do her. Once it is all said and done and she is feeling up to it, we could have a large get together and celebrate life.
Thanks for the time and your donation. It is truly appreciated.
