Help people in the mountains in Morocco - winter

Many people have lost their jobs due to Covid-19. Also in Morocco, where many people depend on tourism for income.

 

Unfortunately, no work means no money. We at the Travel Magical Morocco travel agency see what this means for people on the spot. And especially the people in the mountains. These are often day laborers who earned some money in cities like Marrakech by working in the tourism industry. Now there are no tourists and for 2 years they hardly earned anything. Especially in the mountains; where many vulnerable people live, this takes its toll. The is no work in the tourism industry and there are very few other sources of income.

 

At the moment Hassan is in the mountains and he sees for himself how bad the situation is there. Many people just literally have no money left, bad houses, no heating and don't know how to get through the winter.

 

That's why we need your help! We need your generosity to help us help these people survive this unprecedented crisis. So that, when the better times have arrived, we can organize trips together with them that will stay with you, as a tourist, for a long time.

 

How can you help?

 

By giving. Hassan knows the people and the situation in the mountains and distributes the donations on the spot to the people who need them most. For example, we would like to contribute to a heart operation for a local resident. The heart surgery costs € 550, - and that money is not there now. There is also a family in a dilapidated mud house. Of course, we don't want that. Rebuilding that house costs €400.

 

In short; financial support is desperately needed during the winter months. In addition, we naturally hope that you will come to visit our beautiful country again when the pandemic is over.
