Help out Addie and Jose!

I'm Liz Bruenig. When my baby was born last June, my family was going through a rough time. Addie and Jose were there to help us out -- they're my baby's godparents! And they're great people. Now, Addie and Jose need our help, and I'm hoping we can get them through a hard time for them.

Addie and Jose are a young married couple who live in the Washington D.C. area. Addie is a journalist -- that's how we met. In the time I've known them, Addie and Jose have never turned down an opportunity to lend a hand, whether with babysitting, bringing food to the laid-up, giving driving lessons or donating generously of their time and money otherwise. 

But a little while ago, Jose got sick. He started to have chronic migraines for weeks at a time, and despite undergoing several treatments, still isn't doing better. Since Jose isn't working, Addie is taking care of him and doing her job as a journalist full time. Out-of-pocket medical costs, travel and the daily necessities are all much tougher than they used to be because Jose is ill. 

So let's help Addie and Jose make it through a rough patch together. With Jose about to head back to the hospital, now is a good time to pool our resources and give them a boost. 

We all get by with a little help from our friends. I've definitely made it through the hardest times in my life thanks to the kindness of people like you, Addie and Jose. Please join me in passing on the love. :)
