Hello world. If you are looking at this it means we probably know each other to some extent and I appreciate you. I feel very blessed to have such an amazing community of friends and beloved acquaintances.
On March 27th 2013 I was the victim of a hit and run involving a drunk driver who was driving 45 mph Through an intersection in Olympia WA. The impact of the car took off my right leg broke the femur in said leg and broke my pelvis and hips. I almost died (if not for a cab driver on the scene I would have). I was in the ICU and then a nursing home so that my wounds could be taken care of.
I've been with these traumatic memories and the challenges of abruptly becoming an amputee. My community, friends and family have made it possible for me to survive and keep me wanting to live.
I'm walking now and I'm starting to get another prosthetic leg made. The Medicaid I have will cover the socket but I want to be able to live my life closer to the way I did before the accident, so I'm trying to raise money a new knee joint and foot joint.
Right after the accident my friends organized a gofundme to raise money for expenses. I'm starting a new fundraising page because I will probably never receive any money from this person. He had no car insurance.
I'm in therapy and it is good for me to talk about sometimes so if you have any questions let me know.
