In early May 2014, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. My husband, Eric and I, are very hard working people, holding three full time jobs between us as well as raising a beautiful baby girl, Kaylee. We have high cost medical insurance with a maximum out of pocket $10,000 deductible. While we are prepared to set up payment plans, this could take years to pay off. We would also like to avoid filing for medical bankruptcy.
Our beautiful daughter Kaylee is our world. When Mommy beats this cancer, we hope to take a small trip to take her to meet Mickey Mouse.
Currently, I am still able to work from home. But this journey just began and at some point, it's possible I won't be able to maintain my 40 hour a week job.
Until that time comes, I will fight a tough fight and do the best I can to keep our lives as normal as possible.
