Desperately Need to Move by 7/31/14

I am a senior, just turned 62, who has been on disability for six years. My only income is my SSDI, since all my savings was eaten up by medical bills and the long wait for SSDI to be approved. I have put my name on the waiting lists of several senior apartments that are income-based, but most places estimate that it will be at least a year, perhaps longer, before something is available.

I had planned to stay in my current apartment until I could get a senior place, but I just received notice that my rent will go up $100 in August (on top of $55 last year), and there just isn't that much money in my budget, especially here in Texas where the a/c in the summer can run $200 even in this small place. There is no sense in trying to convince myself that I can afford this apartment any longer, and it's just not seemly for a woman my age to be fighting the cat over the tuna.

I need to move, which I also can't afford. I've decided that if I'm going to go through the hassle of packing, it would be better to make the big move now back to Pennsylvania where I have family/friends (including a son). But moving costs a lot more than I have saved -- with new rents, deposits and moving costs, I estimate I'll need at least $3000.

So, I'm asking for help to get me and the cat to Pennsylvania. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have to be out of this apartment by 7/31, and without your help, the cat and I will be living in my Saturn.
