Sade-Chanel Ei’Ry Dickens, 12, of Navarre, passed peacefully in her sleep, on the morning of Monday, May 18, 2020.
Sade-Chanel, affectionately known as “Princess PoundCake” was often called “Sade”. Sade was born in Fairhope, Alabama on August 28, 2007. Sade had lived on the Gulf Coast the majority of her life, with the past two years being in Navarre, where she was a member of the New Life Deliverance Temple Church.
Sade was also a proud “Dolphin”, who loved the bus ride to Gulf Breeze Middle School, where she was in the 7th grade. Sade was an active and curious child, always looking for creative ways to bend the rules in her favor. Eating extra pudding or yogurt was one of her favorite ways to do so. Often Sade could be found rocking, swinging, throwing blocks into her bowl or a bucket, and watching animated movies with lots of music. Other things she enjoyed include going to the park or the beach with her family. Her simple, everyday pleasure, was surely found in wreaking havoc on her families’ breakable household items, toys, blankets, plush pillows and pets and their personal space, which she did with much love and determination.
Sade was a loving, sweet, sassy and strong-willed daughter, goddaughter, sister, and friend. Sade’s memory will forever be cherished by her parents, Korey L. and Ebonye J. Dickens; her brothers, EiShawn and Ky Dickens; her sisters, Koree Elle & Kortne Dickens; her grandparents, great-grandmother, godparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
This week EJ's paid time off will run out but she's not quite ready to return to work. We'd love to bless this wonderful momma enough to cover the next 60 days worth of bills and groceries to allow her the time she needs. Any donations large or small are greatly appreciated.
