Disaster Relief for Bahamian Families

My name is Dr. Verna Cornelia Price and I was born and raised in the Bahamas and almost all of my family living in Freeport and Abaco Bahamas were devastated by Dorian.  I currently live with my family in Minnesota and I was terrified as I watched Dorian almost demolish my entire country!  All I could do was pray and God to please HELP my people, and I asked others to do the same.  My niece and her children were trapped by rising water in their car and had to be airlifted to safety.  My other family members were evacuated and it took us days to find them safe in shelters.  Praise God, we did not lose any life but I can tell you my family lost all their material possessions, including for some their homes. The New York Times reported:  Bahamas Stunned as Water Recedes: ‘It’s Like a Bomb Went Off’.    I appreciate any support you can lend to help my family get back on their feet.  The funds will be used to buy materials to help repair and in some cases rebuild their houses, buy appliances destroyed, buy furniture, fix their cars that were destroyed,  and school clothes for children.  Many blessings to you who decide to give.  

The proceeds are being sent directly to my families  in Freeport and Abaco who have been affected by Dorian to help restore the many things they lost in the storm.  Appliances, carpet, roof repairs, generators,  clothes, toiletries , even to buy food and water because the drinking water was severely compromised by the storm.
