It's come down to this.
We made it to America. But the move was brutally expensive in both resources and strength. I haven't been completely honest with how bad I was shot to begin with, and the move has broken me.
I have had no luck finding work. I fear that will still be the case for some while. I have some ideas, and some suggestions from friends, but it's all only possibilities.
We just need to make it to September, when we have a windfall coming in. But that is 6 months away. Between now and then we have rent, bills, car repairs, gas, car insurance, food, storage fees, and worst of all, the BRUTAL hit in Taxes I have to pay for doing this by cashing out my 401K early. (It was the ONLY way)
Linda is working part time, but she has me on her medical insurance, which eats up most of her pay. I want to get work, but have had NO luck so far.
Now though, our ONLY source of transportation is down. I'm unsure of the issues, but if it's something serious/expensive. We are done. Like homeless in 2 months done. Without the car, I can't look for work, get Linda TO work, we can't even get around to try and sell our posessions for extra cash. Mass transit here sucks worse than on L.I. a Car is a necessity!!!
That's why I'm pleading with all of you friends. ANY cash you can contribute will help. So will spreading this far and wide.
We kind of need a limited miracle. NOT a big one, just a limited one. When Linda and I decided this move was Death, or Victory, we meant it. But I'm hoping that with some help. we can make it VICTORY!!!!
