Ms. Salmi's Middle School STEM

Hello! My name is Heather Salmi. This is my eleventh year education and I am in the process of starting a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program at Sault Ste. Marie Middle School. This is a new program in our school and in our region with minimal resources for our start up year. I am raising money to purchase items from Mecanno. "At Meccano, our brand vision is to build a better tomorrow by empowering and inspiring the next generation of Makers." (http://www.meccano.com/about).  I completely agree with their statement and want to inspire students of mine at Sault Area Middle School to want a better tomorrow. 

All the funds raised will be used to buy items from Meccano, including but not limited to The Eiffel Tower, Tactical Copter, Tower Bridge, Empire State Building, G15 Personal Robot, and G15KS Personal Robot.

The funds would be amazing if the goal was succeeded by Christmas so I would be able to purchase the products and be ready for students after Christmas Break.

If you could see the amazing ideas and projects that are created daily in my classroom, I think you would know why this means so much to me. My students are creative and eager to learn more about STEM. I would be very thankful, but more importantly, the students in my classes would be able just as thankful.
