Kelly Wilson-Freemon a very dear close friend of mine and many, is an amazingly strong kind-hearted woman. On March 22, 2014 Kelly felt a lump on her breast, April 14th instantaneously her life as she knew it changed when it was confirmed through mammogram and biopsy she did indeed have breast cancer.
May 6th she underwent bilateral mastectomy, praying that this nightmare would be done, she then found out she had Invasive Ductal Carcinoma grade 2 with lymphnode involvement. Kelly is presently awaiting chemotherapy for 6 months, she has had a few set backs due to infection. Now her precious mother being hospitalized for phenomena and heart failure. Kelly is a registered nurse, single mother of three beautiful daughters Melanie age 17, Julie age 15, and Anna age 10. Shortly before her diagnosis she had accepted a position as a hospice nurse, which Kelly had said, "was her dream job!" Unfortunately, she is unable to work right now and she hasn't been with the company long enough to qualify for any type of short term disability.
Financially, physically,emotionally, and mentally this type of situation would drain anyone of us. In times of need it's unbelievable how many people are willing to take away any bit of pain and stress they possibly can. Knowing that cancer does not discriminate, and anyone of us could be in Kelly's situation at any given second. This fund will directly go to help Kelly out with necessities and hopefully take away some worry so that she can remain as positive and brave as she possibly can.
