Helping the Children of Copan Honduras
Donation protected
Thank you for taking a peek at my page! This is something I have wanted to do for awhile and I hope to fulfill it. I'm volunteering in Honduras with Paramedics for Children who help supply school supplies, medical and dental supplies, as well as a vitamin program. PFC also sponsors a free clinic and medical help to the people of the region. I will be on the school supply mission which involves bringing supplies to the children and helping in an orphanage. While public education is available, Honduras only furnishes the building and teachers. Families must pay for the children's books and supplies. In a country where the average wage is only $3.50 per day, few poor children get to attend school. Many families can only send one of their children at a time, and even that is at a great sacrifice. PFC's program has helped to substantially increase enrollment and to decrease student dropouts. The education the children are getting enables them to seek better jobs and empowers them to improve their lives. I am hoping to travel in the fall! Thank you in advance for your support and helping me help those in need!
