Our Dear friend Buffy Marie Lauer is still in recovery from being hit by a car on her bike in Oakland Ca. The accident left her with a severe neck injury. Since the accident she has been in great pain and unable to take time off to heal and to afford the necessary treatments that she needs. For those of us who know her well, we know that she doesn't ask for help. So, we have taken it upon ourselves to create this campaign in support of her healing process.
Buffy Marie is an asset and a pillar in our communities. She is a certified acupuncturist and cranial sacral therapist as well as being an accomplished tattoo artist. She has been providing the community with free to sliding scale body work and amazing art for several years. This is our opportunity to give back and show our support and gratitude.
We need to raise 10,000 dollars to provide Buffy with what she needs to recover. This will support her current and future treatments, past medical bills, and basic necessities during the healing process.
To supplement the gofundme campaign, we will also be hosting a dark Carnival themed Variety Benefit show. The funds generated will be used to meet the campaign goal. The event will be held in Oakland, California on August 2nd 2014. Location and Time TBA
All of these efforts will result in Buffy being able to fully heal from a very serious injury, get the treatments she needs to support her complete recovery, and once again flourish in our community.
