I can't stand asking but I need help
My name is Jeff Comess and I’m a 40 year old independent hairstylist. I've spent my past 20 years making people feel good about themselves and it has been my pleasure.
I took a job opportunity in Fiji, in hope of a new beginning and a better life for me and my wife. We gave up all of our belongings and moved to Fiji. While there, I became ill and the local healthcare didn’t have the medical facilities, equipment and training to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment. The medical professionals in Fiji did their best but in the end, I was told there is nothing they could do to improve my health issues and had to return home to the US to seek medical care.
Recently returned from Fiji and with nothing other than 2 suitcases, I don’t have health insurance or any savings. I therefore cannot see a doctor to get the proper tests, diagnosis, and treatment. As of now, all I have is the generosity of others. I need to see a doctor and have tests done immediately as my symptoms are getting even worse. We have tried all the social programs but was not eligible for anything.
