My name is Jerry Emeka Nwosuocha. Those of you who know me know me as the kind of guy who believes in helping make the world around me funner, chiller, and a happier place to be. Whether it's as an event producer throwing parties around New York City, hanging with friends at a dinner party or throwing a game night at my place, or even if it's just one-on-one trying to get a smile out of a friend. But now I'm coming to those of you who know me and I am reaching out to those whom you might know who don't know me to help me keep being me in NYC.
You see, I made a mistake. And because of this my roommates and I have had to make urgent plans to find a new place to live. Luckily, the situation is not entirely dire, for we have resources between us to find something new and set ourselves up with a place, but we need a little cushion to help ensure that we can get this done.
We have two days to raise $3000 to give us what I think will be the perfect safety net as we enter into some intense last minute negotiations with realtors and landlords in the area to secure a new place to live.
Here's what we are offering. We are not looking for you to give us your money so that we don't have to spend our own. We are looking for money that might help … and all the money that is left over after we secure our new space will go towards throwing a fucking awesome party at our new place that is half concert/half comedy showcase with booze and food taken care of. And anyone who donates ANYTHING to our cause is cordially invited to the affair.
We are smart, working artists. We enjoy each other’s company and live well together. We paint, we cook, make music, clean houses, and entertain for a living. We love doing all of these things in New York City because this is the most vibrant city in the country and we want to continue doing it in the borough of Brooklyn we've come to love so much.
