Help for BJ

Barbara Jean (BJ) Slay is battling the cancer attacks on her body. The chemo and radiation are tough to beat. People, like BJ, who are in need, are fortunate and appreciative to have people like you to support them when dire circumstances arise. From her early days as a life-long servant in her community, this Chicago housing projects social service worker has served and helped most everyone she meets. Her now existing small business, which started in her basement and is now on the South Side of Chicago at 87th and Loomis, is in jeopardy, and so is her health. BJ's Health and Beauty Supplies company has been a continuous source for supplying people with vital products and has been a place for hair technicians/stylist to operate and provide hair care services.

The economic downturn has made it close to impossible to continue. The stress of it all had taken a toll on both the business and BJ's health. The challenge of undergoing chemo and radiation and keeping the business open is her toughest life challenge.
